I formed the Mitumba Foundation because we need more funds to realize our vision. There is such a need in this world to end poverty and we believe that it can be accomplished through self help projects.
Our plans for raising funds include but are not limited:
Contacting churches for funding of projects
Applying for grants
Creating a web site to solicit funds
Sending letters to other non-profit organizations for project funding
Projects:
Building clinic in the slum
Start a sustainable self help teaching village
Building seven dome houses at the garden
Building sanitation system at the garden
Start micro finance system to help economic situation of widows and orphans
Send four missionaries to Kenya two times a year to minister to the widows and orphan also to participate in projects for up to 120 days at a time.
Work with Farm-Africa to develop a goat project
Provide mosquito nets and medicine to widows and orphans
Provide uniforms for school children
Provide school fees for children
Provide mosquito nets for families in the slum
Develop an irrigation system in the garden to provide more food for the slum families
Goal:
Our goal is to be able to duplicate our self help program world wide as a means of eliminating poverty
Our goal in Kenya is to serve widows and orphans who have been victims of the aids epidemic through self help programs.
World Wide our goal is to raise all underprivileged out of poverty.
